Admin Update

Hello KALers!!! There are a few things we wanted to mention here on the ol' KAL blog, so here goes.

First, here are pics of our Admin's Sweet Pea Sock so far...

As you can see, our Admin converted the pattern to a toe up and used a short row heel, and therefore did not notice the apparent errata in the pattern with regards to the number of stitches to pick up for the gusset (more on this later).
To answer a few of the questions we've received via email and on this blog, YES all club members received the same color and type of sock yarn as well as the same pattern.

As mentioned above, we have been contacted by a couple of our sock club members letting us know that there might be a mistake in the pattern regarding the number of stitches to pick up for the gusset. We have tried to email the designer about this, but so far have not heard back from her. We've also invited her to check in on our KAL blog from time to time, so perhaps she'll be able to answer questions that are posted here. Either way, please feel free to post any errata that any of you find regarding the pattern so that future KALers will have that information. We sincerely apologize for any errata that any of you may find, and while Hill Country Yarns requires that our designers have their submissions test knitted, as we all know, sometimes a mistake slips past even the test knitters.

Hopefully all of you have received your packages by now (with the possible exception of our international club members) and have cast on for this adorable little sock pattern. We hope you will join us and post your progress pics as you go!

just wanted to say that I am frogging my socks and using a smaller needle...but I won't mind because this pattern is so simply wonderful and so is the yarn...i picked up 20 stitches on the gusset but will probably readjust when redoing them...to less
